Our Story

A thousand years of trade. One tree.

Agarwood has been documented in ancient texts for thousands of years. It has crossed deserts on camel caravans and oceans in wooden dhows. It has perfumed royal courts and sacred spaces on every continent.

The trade in agarwood connects Singapore to a story that is far older than the city itself. The forests of Borneo, Sumatra, and the Malay peninsula have supplied this material to the world for centuries. The knowledge of how to harvest, process, and grade it has been passed down through generations of families who understood that the tree must be respected if it is to keep giving.

We carry that understanding into every purchase we make and every product we sell. Sustainably sourced where possible. Honestly graded. Always.

When you burn a piece of agarwood from The Oud Trader, you are not just experiencing a scent. You are touching something ancient.
