Cultivated Trat, Thailand - Rak Mai รากไม้
Overripe apricot, bruised just right, the kind you smell from the kitchen counter. Tropical fruit trails behind, green still clinging at the edges. Galangal cuts through sharp and peppery, kaffir lime lifting it bright. Light florals drift in, soft wood settles. Base is mild resin, clean timber. Coastal orchard energy, easy and unhurried, no ache, just vacation mode.
Wild Aged Cambodian - Dara ដារា
Fruity, nectarine and fig, leathery bark, hay. Feels like deep jungle right after rain, ground still soft, everything decomposing and growing at once. Old spice market vibes, sacks of dried tamarind, black pepper dust in the air. Raisins left out too long in the sun. Slight animalic wink, light enough for beginners, wild enough to keep you curious as it develops on skin.
Wild Aged Myanmar (Burmese) Oud - Shay Haung Phaya ရွေးဟောင်း ဘုရား
Village pagoda, decades of incense soaked into stone. Dark resin, myrrh, sweet childhood memories of Southeast Asia. Subtle woody sweetness, oak wood, aged rosewood settling in. Worn saddle leather, camphor lifting it just enough to clear your head without stinging. Riverside house, damp cellar, old pebbles cold underfoot. That feeling of coming back after years of away, finding it exactly the same.
Wild Aged Prachinburi - Pa Boran (ป่าโบราณ)
Palm sugar forward, dark and sticky, tamarind right behind, tangy-sweet and enrapturing. Bruised lemongrass threading through, honeyed tobacco slow and warm, ripe jackfruit rounding it out. Star anise, a little medicinal, dried longan alongside. Green mango sour-sharp, settling into fresh teak, dry bark, unexpected tree sap. Rubber country through and through. Loud, alive, absolutely intoxicating.
Cultivated Batu Pahat, Malaysian - Cahaya Rimba چهاي ريمبا
Resinous, dark-fruited, full of character. Blackcurrant up front, fresh-picked berries, sweet and bright. Resin builds early, almost sticky-sweet, sap on bark, trading places with the berry depending on skin time. Jammy blackcurrant reduction, tangy at the edges, no feral note, no barnyard, staying in fruit-and-wood territory. Fruit lingers, clings hard. Dries to grassy bamboo, moss and soil.
Australian Deadwood Sandalwood - (Free gift)
Decades in the outback before distillation. Sweet wood, dry earth, a faint touch of spice up top. The heart settles into warm cream and aged resin, contemplative, ever so slightly floral (one customer swore he caught ylang ylang). Dry-down goes deep, dusty earth, dry wood, musk. None of the usual spicatum freshness left. Just aged and settled.
