Origin: Burma — Plantation | Longevity: 6+ hours
Burmese oud is the outlier in Southeast Asian oud — cooler, drier, and more austere than anything grown to its south. This oil opens with clean wood, a flash of very fruity brightness, and a faint barn character that is distinctly its own. The fruitiness here is dominant and worth noting — it's the defining feature of this origin.
The heart is dry leather and mild spice over a base of soft resin. No sweetness, no florals — just clean structure and quiet austerity. It has an almost northern quality, more medicinal than tropical, more contemplative than expressive.
The dry-down settles into earthy amber and warm wood. Grounded, composed, consistent. Plantation-grown, so the profile is reliable across batches.
A Burmese oud for collectors who want something genuinely different. The fruity top note alone makes this worth acquiring.
Top: Clean wood, light barn, very fruity | Heart: Dry leather, mild spice, soft resin | Base: Earthy amber, warm wood
