Fermentation is a deliberate process that changes an oud oil's character from the inside out. This Laos Plantation fermented oil opens with — barnyard, sour funk, the smell of time and process. It is confrontational for approximately fifteen minutes.

Then the magic happens. Sweetness emerges. A soft floral and warm honey arrive in the heart, and the base deepens into aged resin and soft amber that a non-fermented equivalent simply cannot match.
